Discuss Data goes beyond ordinary repositories and offers an interactive online platform for the discussion and quality assessment of research data. The project’s main goal was an annotated, enriched and web-based edition of Joachim von Sandrart’s Teutscher Academie der Edlen Bau, Bild- und Mahlerey-Künste (1675–80), one of the most important source texts of the early modern period. This project is an open invitation to anyone and everyone to participate in a decentralized effort to explore the opportunities of open science in neuroimaging. We aim to document how much (scientific) value can be generated from a data release — from the publication of scientific findings derived from this dataset, algorithms and methods evaluated on this dataset, and/or extensions of this dataset by acquisition and incorporation of new data. The project involves the processing of acoustic stimuli. In this study, the scientists have demonstrated an audiodescription of classic "Forrest Gump" to subjects, while researchers using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) have captured the brain activity of test candidates in the processing of language, music, emotions, memories and pictorial representations.In collaboration with various labs in Magdeburg we acquired and published what is probably the most comprehensive sample of brain activation patterns of natural language processing. Volunteers listened to a two-hour audio movie version of the Hollywood feature film "Forrest Gump" in a 7T MRI scanner. High-resolution brain activation patterns and physiological measurements were recorded continuously. These data have been placed into the public domain, and are freely available to the scientific community and the general public.

Kadi4Mat instance for use at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and for cooperations, including the Cluster of Competence for Solid-state Batteries (FestBatt), the Battery Competence Cluster Analytics/Quality Assurance (AQua), and more. Kadi4Mat is the Karlsruhe Data Infrastructure for Materials Science, an open source software for managing research data. It is being developed as part of several research projects at the Institute for Applied Materials - Microstructure Modelling and Simulation (IAM-MMS) of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). The goal of this project is to combine the ability to manage and exchange data, the repository , with the possibility to analyze, visualize and transform said data, the electronic lab notebook (ELN). Kadi4Mat supports a close cooperation between experimenters, theorists and simulators, especially in materials science, to enable the acquisition of new knowledge and the development of novel materials. This is made possible by employing a modular and generic architecture, which allows to cover the specific needs of different scientists, each utilizing unique workflows. At the same time, this opens up the possibility of covering other research disciplines as well.
