The University of Opole Knowledge Base is the central institutional system for recording, archiving, and disseminating the scholarly, artistic, and educational outputs of the University of Opole community. It includes a repository that stores publications, doctoral theses, patents, artistic works, and — upon author request — open research data. The University of Opole Knowledge Base is built on the OMEGA-PSIR platform, an open-source system widely used by Polish universities for institutional repositories and research information management. The system enables integration of publication records, research data, and institutional reporting, ensuring interoperability with national and international infrastructures.Deposited datasets undergo a formal verification process based on the Open Research Data Submission Form (Annex to Rector’s Ordinance No. 04/2021). Authors provide metadata in Polish and English and confirm authorship and rights clearance. The Knowledge Base editors at the University of Opole Library check metadata completeness and consistency. Metadata is also validated through integration with OpenAIRE, ensuring compliance with FAIR principles.
