Remarks
It allows users to manage metadata related to six kinds of resources:
1) Datasets, a subset of EML 2.2.0 standard (77 metadata attributes)
2) Research Site, a customised ISO19139 standard (20 metadata attributes)
3) Services, a customised ISO19139 standard (34 metadata attributes)
4) Virtual Research Environments, a customised ISO19139 standard (24 metadata attributes)
5) Workflows, a customised ISO19139 standard (24 metadata attributes)
6)Training Resources, the EOSC training profile (21 metadata attributes)
Main features:
- user-friendly editor with functions to easily guide users in creating metadata records (copy to function, prefill utility, validators, etc.);
- collaborative space among users within dedicated groups;
- direct connection with thesauri and controlled vocabularies (EcoPortal connection);
- editorial workflow for validation/publication that involves a panel of experts reviewing and integrating the digital resources to have high-quality documented records to support their meaningful interpretation;
- FAIRness assessment;
- DOI assignment (upon validation and verification);
- weekly check on URLs validity and resolvability;
- interoperability and harmonization among Research Infrastructures and other sources (APIs, multiple format download/expose, harvesting mechanisms, tailored XSL transformations, etc.);
- simple/advanced/map-based search to narrow results and facilitate discovery;
- GUI-based approach to create new metadata profiles with a lot of possibilities of
configuration;
- metrics and statistics about the usage (e.g., views, downloads, trends, etc.)
- EOSC (European Open Science Cloud) compliance and federation
