The Data Repository at Queen's University Belfast is exclusively for research data for researchers affiliated with the University. This is the repository of last resort, however. It is always recommended that Researchers of the University check their funder requirements first regarding the sharing of their data. If there is no funder mandate to share data in a named repository, researchers are advised to check to see if there is subject-specific repository in re3data for their discipline area. If there is participant-based data, it is advised to deposit in the University's Data Repository instead of submitting data to a generalist repository (such as figshare, Dryad or Zenodo), especially if there may be potentially disclosive data. Please contact the Research Data Librarian for further advice about selection of the right data repository for your data. Please note that even if data is shared with another repository, it is part of the University's Research Data Policy that all researchers must create a metadata record for their data in the Data Repository (Pure) and point to the doi where the data is shared/hosted.
