The Reproducible Research Repository is a curated library of reproducibility packages associated with research authored by World Bank staff and consultants. The reproducibility packages include the code, documentation, and, where available, the data necessary to reproduce the research findings. The Reproducible Research Repository includes standardized metadata for each package, using a custom schema developed for reproducibility packages. The Repository always includes code, documentation, and data availability statements with detailed access instructions. In cases where data can be redistributed, it is included directly in the package published on the Repository. All reproducibility packages are verified for computational reproducibility prior to publication. The packages are published directly by a small team of curators after computational reproducibility is confirmed.
The Reproducible Research Repository contains three collections: Policy Research Working Papers, for all papers published in the World Bank’s working paper series; Journal Articles, for academic journal articles authored by World Bank staff or consultants, and World Bank Reports, for flagship reports and other analytical outputs. The Repository was launched in August 2023. It currently houses more than 200 reproducibility packages and is growing quickly.
