Database of mass spectra of known, unknown and provisionally identified substances. MassBank is the first public repository of mass spectral data for sharing them among scientific research community. MassBank data are useful for the chemical identification and structure elucidation of chemical compounds detected by mass spectrometry.
In pursuit of its long-term goal of improving the identification of environmental unknowns and, consequently, the prioritisation of emerging substances, NORMAN started close co-operation with the global ‘metabolomics’ MassBank consortium (http://www.massbank.jp) in August 2012.With a strict focus on environmental data the NORMAN MassBank is available at the mirror server http://massbank.eu/MassBank/ --- History: http://www.norman-network.net/sites/default/files/files/Events/2014/1_ARITA_09NormanMassBank.pdf .
