Remarks
Is covered by Elsevier. European Nucleotide Archive is covered by Thomson Reuters Data Citation Index. The ENA is developed and maintained at the EMBL-EBI under the guidance of the INSDC International Advisory Committee and a newly formed Scientific Advisory Board. ENA is part of the International Nucleotide Sequence Database Collaboration, which comprises the DNA DataBank of Japan (DDBJ), the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), and GenBank at NCBI.
The archive is composed of three main databases: the Sequence Read Archive, the Trace Archive and the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database (also known as EMBL-Bank). The ENA has grown out of the EMBL Data Library which was released in 1982 as the first internationally supported resource for nucleotide sequence data
