The CERN Open Data portal is the access point to a growing range of data produced through the research performed at CERN. It disseminates the preserved output from various research activities, including accompanying software and documentation which is needed to understand and analyze the data being shared.
Opendata CERN is covered by Thomson Reuters Data Citation Index. Opendata CERN uses invenio repository software. Databases: CMS - Compact Muon Solenoid; ALICE - A large ion collider experiment; ATLAS - A Toroidal LHC ApparatuS; LHCb - Large Hadron Collider beauty.
The portal is a collaborative effort of the CERN groups IT-CIS and GS-SIS in collaboration with many researchers in the HEP community.
